At the invitation of the China Public Diplomacy Association, A/Prof. Pan Deng from the College met with the members of the Latin press corps of the China International Press Exchange Center, who are visiting China for reporting the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, to exchange views on China's rule of law and legislation in their station in Beijing on 18 March, 2024.

The 21 journalists are from television, radio, newspapers, online media and news agency of 19 countries in Latin. During the conversation, Pan Deng had extensive and candid exchanges with the journalists on such topics as rule of law, social governance, human rights protection, legal system, criminal justice, property rights, intellectual property rights, foreign rights and interests, artificial intelligence regulation, judicial assistance between the two sides and legal issues in the restructuring of the global industrial chain, and introduced the China-Latin rule of law personnel training launched by the College and the University to them.
